一時廃止されたものの飛行兵達の熱烈な要望により復活される等、大変人気の高いジャケットです。
この製品は、Rough Wear Clothing Co.(ラフウェア社製)のContract, W535-ac-23380のA-2の復刻モデルをベースに、マリリン・モンロー エニシングゴーズ USOツアーとアメリカ 第5空軍 第6147戦術管制航空群 モスキートでハンドペイントカスタムされたA-2レザーフライトジャケットです。
ビンテージミリタリーウェアの要素を随所に盛り込みつつも、テーラーメイドの繊細なスリムシルエット、ディテール、縫製を取り入れ、街着として着易い洗練されたファッショナブルなデザインに仕上げられています。
表地素材は馬革(本革ホースハイド BRONCO HIDE 野生馬の革)です。
荒々しいシボの表情を持った堅固で引き締まった革質と、しなやかな質感を併せ持ったレザーです。
タンニングはベジタブルで、フィニッシュはアニリン染料ハンド仕上げです。
本来、馬革は表面の滑らかな部分が少ないため、大量に生産された実物A-2の表面には、傷やシワが多々見られます。
このBRONCO HIDE（野生馬の革）は、馬革独特のシワをそのまま活かし、アニリン系染料で下地を染めてカゼインで仕上げたもので、滑らかな馬革とは違った魅力を持ちます。
身頃裏地と袖裏地は、コットン100%のブロードクロス(ポプリン)です。
高密度に織られた薄手生地で、インナーウェアとの摩擦を考慮した袖通しの良い生地です。
袖口と裾部分はウール100%のリブで切替えられています。
フロントはジップアップで、ジッパーにはTALON(タロン)ファスナーが使用されています。
ジッパーの前には比翼(ウインドフラップ/ストームフラップ)が付き、風が侵入してくるのを防いでくれるつくりになっています。
ウエスト部分には隠しスナップボタン付きのフラップポケットが設けられています。
両胸と背中にはハンドペイントが配されています。
